"Did You Wonder"
by Bradley David Lycan (2016)
Did you think of me in the days you loved
Did you wonder where I went
Did you tell me that you loved – me alone
Did you let me hear your heart beating so
Did you hear -- me cry
Did you hear -- me cry
You told me too – illusion
Peeking out – smile my love
Here – lonely rooms
Quiet light -- dusty loves
Precious soul
Lonely roads – hearing you
Hallway light
Nothing here – here and then
Lonely distant dreams -- waking eyes
Sun beams – through the window pane
I hear – I’m here
Contributing musicians on the city skapes album projects are: Don Carr (guitars), Dieu Aime Nsikoh (bass guitars), Todd Wilkinson (saxophones), Stan Kessler (trumpet and flugelhorn), and me, Brad Lycan on pianos and keyboards. Adriana Nikole is the vocalist for city skapes album projects.

Beginning in mid to late August of this year, we will share this new song project featuring Adriana Nikole. These are special folk ballads of mine: "August Midst" (2016), "I Hear You Calling" (2017), "You Can Wait" (2017), and "Tears in Your Heart" (2018). Contributing musicians will be Kat Bowser (accompaniment vocals), Don Carr (guitars), Dieu Aime Nsikoh (bass guitars), Todd Wilkinson (saxophones), Stan Kessler (trumpet and flugelhorn), and me, Brad Lycan on pianos and keyboards.
Vocalist Kat Bowser and guitarist Don Carr came as a special gift to us here in 2019 to join our song production. I met them through Sweetwater Music. Here Kat sings her vocal in our Autumn 2020 recording of "Cinderellia" (recorded at South Florida Voice Studios). Don plays acoustic guitar and then records a secondary electric rhythm guitar (recorded at Sweet Water Music Studios).

Here we share Side A. song "Love Passes Slow" and Side B. song "Caught in the Middle" from the Kat Bowser song collection -- coming in September 2026.
Here we showcase the new taverns and travelers collection of songs we began recording Summer/early Fall 2025 from Lycan Studio. These are beginning mixes to showcase the song ideas. These songs will include Rock and Blues/Rock genres with a mainstream popular commercial appeal.
Studio musicians include: Don Carr (guitars), Todd Wilkinson (saxophone), and Stan Kessler (trumpet) -- who are all club players with years of Blues, Rock, and Jazz experience. Dieu Aime Nsikoh is the young one of the group, yet his gift as a bass guitarist will be a good compliment to these seasoned players. Vocalist Kat Bowser will be singing these songs: it will give her chance to step out a bit to showcase her craft with Blues and Rock music genres. I will be playing piano and keyboards. We will return to this album in the Fall/Autumn of 2026.
Here are poential songs we will be adding to this album project: "Blow Away Love," "I See You," "In My Life," "Still in the Wind," "You Are Free," "Don't Let it Fly Away," and "Late Last Night."
This early Fall 2026 we will add a new song "How Many Rainbows" (2018) with vocalist Kat Bowser. This song will be a good addition to this album. Studio musicians include: Don Carr (guitars), Dieu Aime Nsikoh (bass guitar) and me, Brad Lycan, on piano and keyboards.
Contributing musicians on the Kat Bowser eclectic song projects are: Don Carr (guitars), Dieu Aime Nsikoh (bass guitars), Todd Wilkinson (saxophones), Stan Kessler (trumpet and flugelhorn), and me, Brad Lycan on pianos and keyboards. These musicians above collaborate on these varied projects, and each musician above writes/composes his own parts. They, therefore, own a % part of the SR (Sound Recording) copyright per song from their recorded track contribution. This includes vocalist Kat Bowser.
The PA (Performing Arts) copyrights to all music compositions, song lyrics and song music on this website are the sole ownership of Bradley David Lycan.

Journey to Yore Land is an eclectic collection of songs with an Alternative Rock edge. When we began this album the summer of 2019, we selected a hand-full of few songs and just started recording them: there was no direction or plan whatsoever, and the musicians had never played together before -- however the songs turned out, and we added them to the album. This project became the 1st album on my website. We will also improve and /or re-record some of the keyboard tracks (Brad has new synths and virtual instruments), some of the horn tracks, some of the guitar and bass guitar tracks, some of the vocal tracks, and improve all of the song's over-all mixes. We will revisit this album: it has some good songs of mine that warrant the extra time investment.
Whereas our 2019-2023, 2026 album Journey to Yore Land is about the desolate archaic lands of our quests for love and ascension: our 2027-28 album Journey to Yore Land ii "ti the end of your love" is about the enduring holly tree branch growing amidst these ancient ruins, the secret winds, and silent dreams that take us to hidden sea shores where we embark on the enduring quest for survival.
In 2027 we begin a new music album venture -- Journey to Yore Land ii "til the end of your love." This will be a collection of songs with a more mellow Rock appeal: it will be a "concept" album with a preconceived theme and direction -- that will include a nice array of instruments, layered vocals, and keyboards. Contributing Musicians: trumpeter Stan Kessler, guitarist Don Carr, saxophonist Todd Wilkinson, bass guitarist Dieu Aime Nsikoh, vocalist Adrian Nikole, vocalist Kat Bowser, and pianist/keyboardist Brad Lycan.
The city skapes album projects 2021--2027.
Ideal for television and film.
The city skapes album projects features vocalist Adriana Nikole. There are 8 albums: city skapes Adriana Nicole "song showcase," city skapes i "inside my room," city skapes ii "the edge," city skapes iii "somewhere," city skapes iv "street signs," city skapes v "doorways," city skapes vi "walkways & bridges," and city skapes vii "rooms and intersektions." The city skapes v "doorways" and cite skapes vii "rooms and intersektions" album projects will be ongoing in 2026 and 2027. These musicians above collaborate on these city skapes album projects, and each musician above writes/composes his own parts. In 2026 we add our last song here -- "Go Hiding" (2017)
The city skapes v "doorways" album will be ongoing during 2026-2027. We will add songs here as they come amidst our song production.

These 7 city skapes album projects present an eclectic collection of songs about the urban and sub-urban landscapes -- a world of people, rooms, musty halls, familiar shops, old staircases, and walkways -- the pensive hours of village and aloofness, gray illumined days that empty into night, the pacing of clocks with faces that pass over bridges to nowhere but across. Congested streets peer through void and loss in quests that reach into sky and aloneness without, be it butterfly or moth in the flutter of flame there burn into dross -- yet songs and the wind blow gently and always from green to stone in cosmos to the streets. Their eyes never tell as they mill and churn, to speak and look, to greet and story, to hear and leave (2025, Lycan)
In 2027 we begin the city skapes vii album "rooms and intersektions."
These are my piano improvisation compositions from 2013 -- 2018. All piano pieces above are recorded to midi DAW (Logic and Pro Tools) using Synthogy Ivory piano virtual software. I played/performed all of these pieces in real time on Kurzweil and Yamaha electronic pianos; I sat and recorded as I performed the pieces in those moments. Before showcasing these improvisation compositions here, I made minor edits (in midi DAW) to these piano pieces removing any wrong passing notes, clunkers, etc.
Instrumental album projects -- for film and venture.
Nocturnal Sarai is an instrumental project -- exploratory in nature. The foundation of the Nocturnal Sarai pieces are my original piano improvisations (2015-2017). In the Summer of 2015 I would sit in the evenings after dinner and just play piano, and record on Logic DAW everything I did. That summer I enjoyed the freedom of working in my home music studio. I did not know then that I would return to that summer piano work in the Winter of 2022, about 7 years later. In the Winter of 2022, I then edited and orchestrated these piano improv. pieces with synthesizers and sampled sound software, virtual instruments for Mac computers. So, the first 3 Nocturnal Sarai originated from my 2015 piano improvisations I played and recorded during that time amidst my song writing. I performed these piano pieces on Kurzweil digital pianos using the Synthogy Ivory virtual piano instrument, recorded to Logic DAW. Now, the final piece, Sarai iv "nocturnal skies," is my 2027 piano improvisation I performed on a Yamaha Clavinova digital piano recorded to Pro Tools, which was among a lot of songs that appear on the city skapes album projects on this website. So, in the Winter season of 2022 and early 2023, I orchestrated these 4 piano improvisation piano pieces by adding new keyboard instrument tracks using Kurzweil K2600 sound samples along with EastWest Sounds, Vienna, Native Instruments, Sweetwater Music sound libraries for Kurzweil K2600, and Eduardo Tarilonte virtual sound libraries. In the upcoming Winters of 2026/2027, I will be adding new song compositions to this album as well as updating orchestrated sounds on the album with Moog, Quantum ii, and Sequential synthesizers along with more Eduardo Tarilonte virtual sound libraries.
Trumpeter Stan Kessler and saxophonist Todd Wilkinson contributed their own original horn parts to my orchestrated versions of these 4 improvisational piano pieces.

With Eagles Fly is an instrumental project -- exploratory in nature. The foundation of these piano compositions are my original piano improvisations. I performed these piano pieces on my Yamaha Clavinova digital piano using the Synthogy Ivory virtual piano instrument, recorded in Midi to Pro tools DAW. I played and recorded the Eagle compositions within the same one-hour period one Spring morning of 2018. At that time I was not impressed with my 3 piano pieces, so I shrugged my shoulders and filed the songs away for awhile. The Winter seasons of 2022 and early 2023, I returned to this DAW file again, and I chose 2 of the 3 improv. piano pieces to edit and orchestrate with synthesizers and sampled sound software virtual instruments -- and recorded them into my Logic DAW on my Mac computer. I orchestrated the 2 Eagle piano improvisation piano pieces by adding new keyboard instrument tracks using Kurzweil K2600 sound samples along with EastWest Sounds, Vienna, Native Instruments, Sweetwater Music sound libraries for Kurzweil K2600, and Eduardo Tarilonte virtual sound libraries. The Winters of 2026/2027, I will once again return to these 2 Eagle piano compositions: updating orchestrated sounds on this album with Moog, Quantum ii, and Sequential synthesizers along with more Eduardo Tarilonte virtual sound libraries.
Saxophonist Todd Wilkinson and Trumpeter Stan Kessler contributed their own original horn parts to my orchestrated versions of these 2 improvisational piano pieces.
Song writer files 2015-2018
Here are the original recordings of me on piano writing these songs singing the first lyrics. Don Carr has added some basic guitars parts for me. I will return in the future on this album to re-record my Winter songs with Don Carr on acoustic guitars. These songs are for the people of Kansas City I met over the many years, the many winters in the cold and gray, the empty and subdued warmth's, the stares and windows -- when I was out and about in my jobs, other and then, elsewhere and there. Thank you for your lives. I enjoyed meeting all of you.
This is the original song recording above: me playing piano and singing the song for the first time the Autumn of 2016. The sun dial was an ancient way of telling and knowing time, marking time as the earth rotated around the sun.
This song "Sun Dial" (2016) is a song about turning back the clock in one's life -- realizing that time is often fleeting, that we all grow old if we live long enough, that we are no longer able to be young again, to be of much interest to others, or to experience life as we one did." Am I too old to love you...are you too young to feel my soul."
